Role: Mobile Mechanical Fitter for Plant Equipment

Outline of responsibilities: The principal role of the mobile fitter/mechanic is to repair, service, and inspect plant and equipment around the UK with occasional overnights.

This includes equipment from manufacturers such as Takeuchi, JCB, Komatsu, Doosan, John Deere, New Holland, Terex, Hamm, Ammann, and Indeco.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and locate faults with equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations and in a timely fashion to ensure minimum downtime.
• Service equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations.
• Carry out PUWER and LOLER inspections for all equipment.
• Follow the procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with our ISO 9001 quality management system.
• You may be required to carry out servicing or repairs on customer job sites from time to time.

The professional experience we would like you to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar role, at least 3 years
• Dealership training (manufacturers listed above)
• Understanding of engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Checkable references and qualifications

Some of the skills you will have:

• A professionally recognised qualification in plant maintenance and repair
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A full UK driving license
• Worked on excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and rollers

Job Type: Full time, permanent.

Salary: £34,000.00 - £36,500.00 per year
