Buckhurst Plant Hire was established in 1993 by the Walsh family. From our humble beginnings in a small yard with only a handful of machines, the company has grown phenomenally in size since then. Buckhurst, with an annual turnover of £15 million, is now operating from several depots across the UK with over 3000 pieces of machinery and plant.

Buckhurst now employs over 120 dedicated people across our depots and field-based roles, while working hard to retain that small business family feel from the early ’90s.

Role: Service Administrator

Outline of responsibilities:

• Arrange all overdue and upcoming services, inspections, and thorough examinations with all our customers.
• Managing outside fitters and planning their work in advance, along with breakdowns on equipment.
• Process and input all machinery paperwork in accordance with company procedure.
• To raise orders, goods receive and deal with invoice queries.
• General admin duties.

Experience:

• (Desirable) Knowledge of InspHire (Plant & Tool Rental Management Software) would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be given.

• (Must) Have parts experience within either the plant/motor or engineering trade.

• (Must) have a good knowledge of parts purchases and processes.

• (Must) Be confident with Microsoft Excel and other systems

• (Must) Have strong attention to detail

• (Must) Have good communicator with bundles of enthusiasm

• (Must) Have previous experience in a similar industry

• (Must) Have evident strong administration experience

• (Must) Be a team player
