Buckhurst Celebrates a Proud Night at the Red Rose Awards

Last night, members of the Buckhurst team headed to the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool for the Red Rose Awards, where we were shortlisted for the Family Business Award.

Although we didn’t take home the trophy this time, the night was a fantastic celebration of Lancashire businesses — and a proud moment for everyone at Buckhurst.

Being shortlisted alone is a huge achievement. The Family Business category recognises companies built on strong values, teamwork, and a commitment to supporting their people and communities. Those qualities are at the heart of Buckhurst, and seeing our name among such inspiring finalists was a reminder of how far we’ve come as a family‑run business.

The evening gave us the chance to celebrate our journey, reflect on the hard work of our teams across all depots, and enjoy being part of a thriving local business community. It was also a brilliant opportunity to connect with other organisations who share our passion for growth, innovation and supporting the region.

While we didn’t win this year, we’re incredibly proud of the recognition — and even more proud of the people who make Buckhurst what it is. Our teams, our customers, and the communities we work in are the reason we continue to grow and evolve.

A huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists. We’re already looking forward to next year, and to continuing the work that earned us a place on that shortlist.
