Supporting Local Operator Development

At Buckhurst Plant Hire, we’re proud to support the development of future talent in the construction industry. 

Most recently, we've provided a selection of reliable machines to valued customer VMR Training at their dedicated training ground in Preston, where a new group of novice plant operators have been getting hands-on experience in a safe and professional environment.

VMR Training runs courses for all levels of operators, with a focus on building practical skills and preparing candidates for real-world site conditions. For this round of training, we supplied them with:

• 2x Takeuchi TB350R: These compact yet powerful 5 tonne reduced tail swing excavators offer great visibility, precision, and balance. Ideal for training new operators safely and confidently.
• Hyundai HX130LCR: A strong and dependable choice for larger-scale operations, this excavator combines reduced tail swing with advanced controls and operator comfort.

With ideal sunny weather throughout the week, the first group of candidates made excellent progress, and we’re looking forward to seeing them back on site soon for round two.
