Supporting Mental Health This Christmas with ANDYSMANCLUB and Buckhurst Plant Hire

The festive season is seen as a joyful time filled with celebration and togetherness. However, for many, Christmas can be an incredibly lonely and challenging period.

No matter what you're going through, we believe in supporting not just our staff and customers, but the wider community, particularly when it comes to raising awareness around men’s mental health. That’s why we’re proud to highlight the incredible work of ANDYSMANCLUB this Christmas and beyond.

About ANDYSMANCLUB

ANDYSMANCLUB is a charity that provides free peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18 and over. Originally founded in 2016 in memory of Andy Roberts, who sadly lost his life to suicide, the groups aim to reduce the stigma around men’s mental health and provide a safe space for men to open up.

Fast forward to today, ANDYSMANCLUB has grown into a nationwide movement with over 210 groups across the UK, helping thousands of men every week. The groups meet every Monday from 7-9 PM (excluding bank holidays), and there is no booking, no cost, and no pressure to speak. Men can simply attend, feel supported, and engage at their own pace. For those unable to join in person, online groups are available, offering even greater accessibility.

Buckhurst Plant Hire’s Role in Supporting ANDYSMANCLUB

At Buckhurst Plant Hire, we actively raise awareness for ANDYSMANCLUB through our dedicated charity-branded machines that travel across the UK. These machines proudly display the ANDYSMANCLUB logo and the impactful message, #ITSOKAYTOTALK, encouraging conversations about mental health wherever they go. Whether they’re on construction sites or traveling between depots, these machines serve as mobile reminders of the support available to men who might be struggling.
