Takeuchi Visits Buckhurst HQ: Strengthening a Long‑Standing Partnership

Last week, we were delighted to welcome representatives from Takeuchi to Buckhurst HQ — a visit that marked another milestone in a partnership that has grown steadily over many years.

Their time on-site gave us the chance to showcase how their machines are supporting our customers across the UK, while also reflecting on the major investment we made earlier this year to expand our excavator fleet.

A Relationship Built Over Many Years

Buckhurst has been a proud Takeuchi customer for a long time, and their machines have become a core part of our offering across construction, civils, utilities, rail and more. Known for reliability, performance and operator comfort, Takeuchi excavators have consistently been among the most requested items in our hire fleet — and for good reason.

Our teams across all depots rate them highly, and customer feedback continues to reinforce the same message: Takeuchi delivers on site, day after day.

A Major Fleet Expansion in 2026

Earlier this year, Buckhurst announced one of our biggest excavator investments to date — a significant order of new Takeuchi machines that pushed our excavator fleet to over 1,200 units nationwide. This expansion was driven by customer demand and our commitment to supplying modern, efficient and dependable equipment across every sector we serve.

The order included a wide range of models, ensuring we can support everything from compact urban projects to large‑scale infrastructure works.

A Valuable Visit to HQ

During their visit last week, the Takeuchi team met with our senior leadership, workshop managers and hire teams to discuss the fleet performance and customer feedback and upcoming product developments and innovations

They also toured our facilities, viewed recently delivered machines, and spent time with the engineers who maintain and prepare the fleet for hire.

The visit reinforced what has always made this partnership strong: shared values, open communication and a commitment to delivering the best possible equipment to the industry.
