Children in the North West have benefited from an unbelievable sum of £118,000.

Buckhurst Plant Hire are delighted to have supported The Toy Appeal Ball 2022. The Knutsford-based charity has been running since 2013, providing Christmas toys to thousands of underprivileged children across the North West of England.

Buckhurst Plant Hire are a nationwide supplier of plant machinery and equipment through three main company divisions: plant hire, utility plant hire, specialist plant and transport. Operating from 6 depots around the UK, Buckhurst are continually investing millions of pounds back into the company, ensuring their customers’ business needs are met.

Lee Gansler, Managing Director at Buckhurst Plant Hire, said: “We were excited to have the opportunity to sponsor The Toy Appeal and to assist them in their efforts to provide for the underprivileged children in our local community, raising an unbelievable combined sum of £118,000. We are excited to be able to support them again this year.”

A phenomenal 10,704 toy sacks were given to children in 2022; marking The Toy Appeal’s 10th anniversary, they surpassed their goal of 10,000 toy sacks. Each sack contained 8 items; a main present, two books, a piece of sports equipment, a board game, a craft activity, stocking fillers, and a cuddly toy.

Dee Drake, Founder of The Toy Appeal, commented: “We were absolutely thrilled with the amazing support from Buckhurst Plant and we look forward to working with them going forward to ensure even more children can experience the magic of Christmas.” Dee was awarded a British Empire Medal for her charitable services in the King’s New Year Honours List 2023.
