Our Role in Altrincham's Charitable Garden Project

At Buckhurst Plant Hire, we’re always proud to support projects that make a real difference in the community. One recent example is our involvement in AE Yates’ social value initiative to improve accessibility at a charitable garden allotment in Timperley.

Improving Access for All

The project aims to reflag pathways within the allotment, creating safer access for individuals with disabilities and wheelchair users. These improvements will enable more people to enjoy the space, tend to plants, and engage with the community in an environment designed with inclusivity in mind.

When we visited the site in early November 2024, progress was already underway, with initial work on the wireframes marking the start of the reflagging process.

Compact Machinery for Confined Spaces

For a site like this, where space is limited, compact equipment is essential to get the job done effectively. Buckhurst Plant Hire provided a Takeuchi 1.5T compact excavator and a Wacker Neuson 1T wheeled dumper free of charge for the project. These machines were perfectly suited for the confined working environment, ensuring the team could carry out their tasks efficiently and safely.

A Small Role in a Big Impact

At Buckhurst, we understand the importance of giving back to the communities we serve. By supporting AE Yates with reliable equipment, we were able to contribute to this worthwhile initiative without drawing attention away from the amazing work being done on the ground.
